About Royal Palm
Royal Palm is a tranquil apartment complex in Los Cristianos, very highly regarded for its unique Andalusian village style, tropical gardens, and spacious apartments and terraces. All apartments are privately owned, and are a mix of permanent residents, holiday second homes, and apartments available to let. There are two swimming pools (one heated October to April) plus a childrens pool, with a lifeguard on duty during the day. The apartments - 233 in total - range from spacious studios which feature a separate sleeping area, to 1 , 2 and 3 bedroom units. Being privately owned they vary in furnishing and equipment but generally are larger than found on most complexes. Some have sea views, others overlook a pool, some have mountain views, and some overlook a quiet plaza. Some areas are easily accessible, while in others there are steps to a greater or lesser degree. The complex is raised above the town but not so far up the hill as some! The seafront is about 10 minutes walk away, where the boardwalk stretches for miles without steps. Equally the town centre and harbour are 10 - 15 minutes on foot, where you will find a genuine Spanish town atmosphere as well as enough bars and restaurants to satisfy anyone. The harbour has a working fishing fleet and ferries to La Gomera and other islands. Taxis are plentiful and cheap when you've had enough walking exercise. To venture further afield the bus station, on the way into town, has a frequent and cheap service to most parts of the island on clean, airconditioned green buses. |
